For students

A mentor who fits, and a clear record of the work.

You describe where you want to go. Synetra finds a verified mentor with the right expertise and free capacity, and keeps every message, session, material and grade in one place.

What you get

Six things, each of them yours.

A mentor who fits

Matched on your domain, skills and interests against a mentor's verified expertise, not on who happens to be free.

One private thread

Real-time messaging with your mentor. Read receipts, notifications, and an email when you miss something.

Sessions with a record

Scheduled meetings with notes: what was covered and an action-item list you can tick off between sessions.

Materials, safely

Notes and readings your mentor shares, watermarked to you on download so you always have the reference copy.

Work that gets graded

Tasks with due dates and quizzes tied to the material. Grades and feedback come back to your profile.

A certificate at the end

When your mentor closes the engagement as complete, a certificate lands in your documents automatically.

Your first fortnight

What the start looks like.

  1. Day 0

    Register and complete your profile

Preferred domain, skills, interests, education level. Five minutes. This is what gets you matched.

  2. Days 1–3

    Match confirmed

You are notified when a mentor accepts. Their profile appears under My Mentor with their expertise and rating.

  3. Week 1

    First session

Your mentor schedules it. Afterwards, the session notes and action items appear on the meeting.

  4. Week 2

    First material and task

Reading arrives under Materials; a task under Tasks with a due date. Submit a file or a note from the same page.

  5. Ongoing

    Quizzes and progress

Short quizzes on the material. Grades roll up on your profile; your mentor logs progress reports you can read.

What is expected of you

Five things, in return.

Keep your profile honestThe engine matches on what you write. A vague profile gets a vague match.
Turn upSessions are scheduled with your mentor's time. Cancel in the platform if you must, so it is recorded.
Submit on timeTasks carry due dates. Late submissions are still accepted while a task is open, but the timestamp is visible to your mentor.
Take quizzes aloneQuizzes measure what you retained. Integrity signals are shown to your mentor; talk to them if something looked odd (a dropped connection, a reload).
Keep materials to yourselfEvery download carries your name and email. Redistributing a mentor's material breaches the Terms.
Assessment

How grades are calculated.

Nothing hidden. This is exactly what the profile shows and how it gets there.

Quiz scorePoints for correct answers divided by total points, shown as a percentage. Each quiz has a pass mark the mentor sets.
Best attempt countsIf a quiz allows several attempts, your best percentage is the one that rolls up.
Task gradeYour mentor grades a submission from 0 to 100 and can add written feedback. The latest graded submission per task counts.
OverallWhen both exist, quizzes weigh 60% and tasks 40%. You see a percentage and a letter (A+ to F) on your profile.
Integrity scoreA separate, advisory 0–100 that your mentor sees. It never changes your grade on its own.

About the integrity score

While you take a quiz the page records how long each question took, whether you switched tabs, and whether you tried to copy or paste. The server compares your answers with other students’. None of this fails you. It produces a score your mentor sees, with plain-language flags such as “left the quiz tab three times”, so they can ask you about it. A dropped connection or an accidental reload is exactly the sort of thing to mention.

Questions students ask

Before you register.

What if I do not like my mentor?

Tell the programme administrator. They can reassign you; the previous engagement is closed and a new match is made.

Can I have more than one mentor?

One active engagement at a time. When it closes, you can be matched again.

What does my mentor see about me?

Your name, profile fields relevant to the pairing, everything exchanged in the engagement, and your grades. Not your password, not other students' data.

What happens to my work when the engagement ends?

Your submissions, results and certificate stay in your account. Your mentor keeps read access to the engagement record.
