What is Synetra?
Synetra is a mentorship management platform. It verifies mentors, matches them to students on expertise and availability, and keeps the whole engagement (messages, meetings, materials, tasks, quizzes and progress) in one place with administrator oversight.
Who can be a mentor?
Anyone with relevant professional experience can apply. Before a mentor can be matched, an administrator reviews their organisation, designation, years of experience, an identity document and their qualification or experience documents.
How are students matched to mentors?
A scoring engine ranks approved mentors for each student: expertise overlap (40%), domain match (25%), declared availability (15%), free capacity (10%) and current workload (10%), with mentor rating as a tiebreaker. An administrator confirms the suggestion and the mentor accepts or declines.
Can a mentor take on unlimited students?
No. Each mentor has a maximum capacity set by an administrator. The database itself refuses any assignment that would exceed it.
What happens to materials a mentor shares?
They are stored privately and can only be opened by the students they were shared with. Every student download is stamped with the platform name, the student's name and email, and the date, and the download is logged.
How are quizzes graded?
On the server. Students receive the questions without the answer key; when they submit, the server grades the attempt and records the score. Mentors set the pass mark, time limit and number of attempts.
What is the integrity score on a quiz attempt?
An advisory score from 0 to 100 built from the attempt's wall-clock time, per-question pacing, tab switches and focus loss, clipboard and right-click attempts, page reloads, and how closely the answers match other students' attempts. It flags attempts for a mentor to review. It never fails a student automatically.
What identity information do you store about mentors?
The ID type and the last four characters of the number, plus the document image the mentor uploaded for review. The full number is never stored.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Contact us from the address on the Contact page and we will deactivate the account and remove personal data, subject to records we must keep for legal or audit reasons. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Is there a mobile app?
Synetra is a responsive web application that works on phones and tablets. There is no separate app to install.
